Bug Out Kit

Alright, so in a situation were you need to leave town, you need to be able leave town without having to pack up. So, what you need to do is have a kit that you can use so you can walk-in were ever you have it, grab it, and go.
So, with this said, you will probably want it easily accessible. Also, you won't want it to be too heavy to where you can't be very mobile and at the same time have enough to be able to survive in a variety of situations. What you need is one extra change of clothing, a fire starting kit, some sort of a first aid kit, a compass, and a map to your bug out spot and of your bug out spot.

Clothing

So, the reason you want an extra pair of clothing is so you can have a extra pair of clothes while you clean and air-dry your other clothes.

Fire Starting Kit

What this can contain is any number of things. You can have a couple batteries with steal wool. You also can have dryer lint stuffed in the cardboard part of a old toilet paper roll. Or, you can also have flint and steel with some char cloth.

First Aid Kit

What you will need is wound (Cuts and scraps) cleaning supplies and protecting supplies, as well as pain killers or relievers. What else you put in this is up to you.

Compass And a Map

The reason you will need this is because you will need something to reference to when you are headed to and when walking around you bug out area.

Food and Hydration

What you will need is enough food and water to be able to find spots to hunt and get pure water to survive. The amount of food to pack is all dependable on were you will be. If you know were all the game animals and fruit brush patches are, then you will not need as much food as if your walking into unknown territory. This same logic can be applied to water. if you know where you can get clean water, you won't need as much water as if you are walking into unknown territory. Also, for sanitized water, you can boil it, let get to room temperature again, and then get it boiling again. This will get it to kill most if not all germs.
